“Premium rice has risen. Already there are those who are above the HET of Rp. 12,800. Now, there are already more than Rp. 13,000 per kg,” he continued.
As a result of the rice price is increase, he admitted that many consumers complained.
“Many complained, many returned. We are confused about selling it,” he added.
Rachman said that the price increase was due to a bad harvest, so the supply would decrease. This is also a factor in the increase in premium rice prices.
“It’s not there anymore (supply), yesterday it was hit by pests, failed (harvest), the results are a little so now it’s gone. Later in three months just harvest again,” he said.
Yaya also estimates that the price of rice will gradually recover if the harvest in March is good.
“This is the harvest around the beginning of March. If the weather is good, the price will automatically drop, a lot of rice coming in will definitely decrease but gradually,” he added. (zlf / zlf)
